half way done with ft. lewis

Well, we are about half way done with our time here at Ft. Lewis. Once we get done here then we are headed across the big pond to vacation in the sand. Don't be jealous...if you want I can't get you a free vacation in the sand as well:).
On a more exciting note, Steph and my little pumpkin will be coming out here in about a week. I am more than excited about that! Although it has only been about 3 weeks since I have seen them it seems like an eternity. When I call I can here that little girl in the background just playing. It is the most precious thing. She's still a little too shy to get on the phone but occasionally she will and just jabber away. I don't understand 90% of what she is saying but I love to listen to it. Steph is good at sending me impromptu photos of Bri and they are most darling.

All we have been doing here is just some mandatory training before we go over there. Some of it is interesting but most of it is just plan old boring. I am sure there is a purpose for us (the providers) to go through all of this but I am not aware of it. Life goes on I guess. I think the feeling is ubiquitous; we just want to get this show started. Sitting here in limbo is driving us crazy but we are almost done. It's weird to be counting down the days again like you did your senior year of high school. Aside from having the calendar with the big X's on it, we all know the very day when our loved ones are coming out and we can tell you down to the exact minute. These are the little things that bring us joy.

I did want to thank everyone that has sent care packages to me and to those who have been keeping my family and me in your prayers. We are truly blessed to have family and friends that care so much about us. Once I get into country I will make sure I send everyone my new address.
